The Day and The Night by Bertel Thorvaldsen

Bertel Thorvaldsen was world famous sculptor in his days in the beginning of the 19th century. Beautiful classical sculptures was created, among these two reliefs "The Day" and "The Night". Today there is many gravestones in Norwegian cemeteries from the late 19th century that has miniature versions of these reliefs and each of them often has a new "decoration" created by nature because lichen has grown on them.
